1968 Mustang Coupe 331 stroker

1968 Mustang Coupe

SCCA Trans-am Terlingua Racing "Theme"

Signed by Carroll Shelby

This is a nice example of a 1968 Mustang coupe themed after the 1967/68 SCCA Trans-am series race cars.  This car is a street car with a race car look, sound, and feel.  The motor and trans is fresh with 400 miles on the car now.  The engine is a 331 cubic inch Ford small block with 10.5:1 compression and currently setup to run on pump gas.  The motor stays cool even in extreme heat.  An Aeromotive fuel system was added with braided fuel lines and AN fittings.  The transmission is a built T-5 with a new cable clutch set up with a firewall adjuster.  The rear is a fresh 4.10 traction lock with royal purple gear oil.  This car is a excellent driver and can be driven anywhere.  This car is fast but could handle being daily driven with ease (but if you mash on the gas HOLD ON…).  The current suspension is stock form but with the Shelby drop in the front and lowered leaf springs in the rear. This car also has power disc brakes and manual steering.  The orange paint on the car is very presentable and shines well for an older paint job.  The hood is a steel hood with a 1967 Shelby style hood scoop.  This car also has 1967/68 Shelby side scoops as well.  The tires on the car are less than a year old and are in like new condition.  The rims are 17 inch SVT Cobra wheels.  This car is extremely solid and is still in Ford sheet-metal.  The interior is in good condition and free of tears.  This car does have a AM/FM JVC CD player that works and sounds great.  The Passenger side dash is signed by Carroll Shelby. This car has lots of new chrome.  To make this car competitive in historic racing or road racing events the following items would be needed: aftermarket brakes, suspension, roll bar, fuel cell, harnesses, and a fire suppression system.  Don't miss this opportunity to own this excellent 1968 Mustang (but be warned it will wake the neighbors…).
